Our Pastor

"And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."

- Jeremiah 3:15

Pastor Rodney E. Smith, Sr.

Rev. Rodney E. Smith, Sr. serves as Pastor of New Hebron Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR, where he has served since June of 2007. Prior to his pastoral calling, he was a devoted member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. There he served the Lord in a variety of capacities, some of which include Deacon, Director of Christian Education, and Sunday School Superintendent. The main emphasis of his ministry is to take a verse by verse exposition of the Word of God and teach it to God's people.

Pastor Smith was married to his late wife, Danielle, for 24 years until the Lord called her home to be with Him. They have two daughters, Krysten and Kennedy, and one son, Rodney Jr.

Pastor Smith has a deep devotion to the Word of God, and he desires to live a life that will be pleasing to the Father. To that end, he is implementing the vision and direction that was placed on his heart by the Lord for the saints at New Hebron, which is unification of the Saints (Psalm 133:1), Organization of the Staff (I Corinthians 14:40), and Glorification of the Savior (John 12:32).
